Friday, June 4 (tomorrow!) Chuck Love visits ¡Club Queso! (the cheesiest club in town):

We feel the heat of the arriving summer and answer with a bit of Love. Chuck Love, that is. Towing a menagerie of sweet tunes and musical instruments Mr. Love aims to entertain the Queso crowd with his funky song-smith and electric personality. Chuck Love’s contributions to the catalogs of Om Records and his own Love Network have filled many a house DJ’s set, and his visits to central Florida have made him an Orlando favorite.

On Friday, June 4 the ¡Club Queso! conspirators plan to whisk Chuck Love down from his Minneapolis base and plop him onto the Peacock Room stage for a night of superb musical mayhem. Your friends and mine Q-Burns Abstract Message, Atnarko, and Sleazy McQueen will be on hand with supporting tunes and additional love-spreading. Love vibes, as always, will be provided by Lola B and Show Source Productions will make things sound extra lovely. We hope you’ll join us for this very special ¡Club Queso!

Austin, TX This Friday: Conspiracy Disko

Yep, a few weeks ago I was to play Austin but some strange misaligning of the cosmos said it shan’t be so. Instead I found myself watching horses + dogs and admiring junk castles before treading home. But, wait, news flash: Austin beckons once again and, wouldn’t you know it, I’m due back as soon as this Friday for a completely unconnected gig, but still a ‘make up gig’ nonetheless if that’s how you want to play it. But this could be what the cosmos had in mind, as this DJ gig looks to be positively more action packed, more mayhem filled, more bunch-of-fun than the previous plan. I’m joining my friends Adam Warped (it’s his birthday, yo), Eddie Spettro, and a cast of others for the enticingly titled Conspiracy Disko party taking place at The Loft above Silhouette Sushiya (oh, hey … sushi!). I’ve got tricks up my sleeve, Austin knows how to tie one on, and it’s all coming together in a few days. Won’t you join?

I’m joining Green Gorilla Lounger M3 for a block-rockin’ face-off behind the decks at Focus, Orange County’s long running house music Tuesday. This is my fourth or fifth time playing this night and I have a blast each time, and playing back-to-back with my buddy M3 will make this even more manic. It’s a purported Cinco de Mayo party at the Triple Crown weekly “Look Up! Look Down! Look Out!” I’ll be joining Miguel Migs and M3 for this totally cool night of house music mayhem. I love this spot, and I love my San Francisco gigs, so I’m preparing myself for particularly fantastic evening.

I’m ready to serve up a boiling pot of eclectic house music gumbo at this bi-monthly house music party at the Moloko Lounge (inside of Ampersand Night Club). It’s the last minutes of SXSW and I’ll try to keep the party going with a frantic DJ set at Light Bar. The night in quite enticingly named Space Odyssey Disco which bodes well. Ahh, !Club Queso! How I adore you. As February rolls around love is certainly in the air. Thus it’s time for our occasional romantic getaway to The Peacock Room. There we’ll find the annual Queso Valentine’s Ball, with lovers-not-fighters Q-Burns Abstract Message, Atnarko, Sleazy McQueen, and Matt Harris (T.A.R.D. … it’s his birthday!) playing Cupid-fresh house music tracks. I’m positive their antics will get us in the right mood. If you need a little more to tickle your fancy then know that Lola B is providing quite an amorous décor to The Peacock Room and Show Source Productions will make things sound extra scrumptious. Oh, ¡Club Queso!, how can you resist my charms?

Once again, we’re tackling a full-on Moonboot Session on Friday, January 29 as I, Mr. Q-Burns Abstract Message, unveil a 5 hour DJ set under the lunar light. Tons of top tunes of various dancey varieties will be unleashed and you are encouraged to parade around the dancefloor in audacious Moonbooty regalia. Or just what you normally would wear on a fun Friday night out and about. We’ll be thrilled to see you either way, and it’s gonna be a blast.

It’s also going to be a (nearly) full moon, so this will be special Moonboot Session, indeed.

This occurs Friday, January 29 at the new and revamped SkySixty located in downtown Orlando on the rooftop of The Social. Click HERE for a map or directions. There is no cover, and it’s 21 and up.
