Q-Burns Abstract Update 12.17.01

Howdy everyone ... I hope you are having a fantastic and relaxingholiday season.

As for me, I am quite busy as usual, just finishing a bunch of new remixes and currently on the Two Drunk Punks On Funk tour with Robbie Hardkiss. Last week we DJed in New York City, Rochester NY, and Toronto. This week we will be setting down in Washington DC, Richmond VA, Baltimore MD, Pittsburgh PA, and Philadelphia PA. At the end of the month, I'm looking forward to a big Orlando party right after Christmas with DJ Garth and I at the Social/Sapphire. And, if all goes well, I'll be spending New Year's Eve spinning records on a far away Mexican beach.

For future plans, Robbie Hardkiss and I are to be in cahoots for a midwest and west coast leg of our DJ tour which should start the last week of January and run through February. Big thanks to Lotus Magazine, Paul Frank, Stussy, and Dublab.com for their support and help with our drunken DJ tour adventure.

On the remix front, I've just completed a couple of things for David Duriez's Brique Rouge label including remixes of the upcoming "Sweet Love" by Kram and "Do You Want Me" by Mazi + Collette. I also finished remixes of Lovesky's "Come Back To Me" on Sunburn and Thunderball's "Stereo Tonic" on ESL. Lastly, I just completed a go-go style remix of our very own Pimp Daddy Nash's track "It's A Wonderful Life" which will be released on Modul in Germany early next year. Yep, I've been quite busy here.

A bunch of people have also been remixing tracks off my Invisible Airline album, and we are looking to put out a remix album on Eighth Dimension at the beginning of Spring. Some of the remixers include Lovesky and Thunderball as well as Doctor Olive, Tetris, Funky Transport, King Britt, Hakan Lidbo, and quite a few others. More details on this coming soon.
