Here it is, once again, the Winter Music Conference .. I'll be grabbing my glowstick cane and hobbling down to Miami (this is my 14th consecutive year) where i am chuffed to be playing at the new venue called The Electric Pickle, located in the Design District at the former Circa 28 space. It's a top notch club and we've got a top notch party in store, curiously titled Bigger Trouble In Little SOBE. This takes place on the evening of Thursday, March 26 and this will be my only WMC appearance (besides in your nightmares). What follows is the mystifying yet enticing description as well as the testosterone-laced flyer (designed by www.marleydidit.com. Man, I hope to see you there.
WMC 2009 will see the infamous battle between the truck-driving Jack Burton and the 2,000 year old sorcerer Lo Pan replicated with two turntables and a bundle of funky house music. This can only mean one thing: Bigger Trouble In Little SOBE! The brand spanking new venue The Electric People is the scene of the action. Fighting for the forces of good will be DJs from around the planet representing factions of Nordic Trax, EIGHT-TRACKS, and Tight Recordings. By unleashing their musical might a spell of dancing and debauchery will consume the dance floor. We expect random Mexican wrestlers, covert ninjas, and intoxicating vixens to attempt to thwart our heroes but we are certain that house music will prevail. And prevail it will, from 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 26 until 5:00 AM the next morning. As Jack Burton is known to say, "House music all night long!"
